"HOMEMADE FUN"

Ms. B a scientist from High Touch/High Tech came to our classroom on Tuesday, November 27. She discussed the need for shelter. The children had a great time role playing Eskimos, birds, bees, and spiders as they created shelters. they made an igloo out of frosting and marshmallows. Next they had to use their beaks (tweezers) in order to build a nest using mud (chocolate syrup) and twigs (Chinese noodles.). The eggs were jelly beans. Then they were small colonies of bees. Each bee had a special job. They built a hive using Honey-Comb cereal and caramel sauce. In the final activity the children were spiders. Working in pairs they had to make a spider web using fabric paint. Enjoy the pictures as you watch each child learn through these "hands on" experiences.
